So here goes, my first blog post. Last year was a crazy one. For all of us. But one thing I decided was if I was going to be out of work and stuck at home.....I was going to be productive creatively. Because how many times have we all said "if only I had more time to paint".
Well I certainly had more time to paint. And to hike. And to garden. Heck, they were practically all I was allowed to do. So I hiked and I painted and I gardened and I was productive. 50 works of art. 22 watercolors, 20 oil paintings, and 6 drawings.
The plus side to the age of Covid. I finally had time to get to know myself again. And time to paint for the first time truly since becoming a mom four years ago. And that's nice because until this year, my little one didn't even really know mommy was a painter.
If you are reading this know that my mind will go on all sorts of art inspired journeys, from books I read, to my own artwork and inspirations, and connections I notice between art and artist and the world we live in. So hopefully I'll get better at this blogging thing and maybe people might want to read my thoughts.....but lets see where we go.
